Testimonials

I’m so thankful to have found your clinic! The entire staff has treated me with kindness, respect, and professionalism from day one. I was referred to Wendy by a prominent rehab doctor she worked with in Salt Lake. He told me that if not for her being in Jackson, then he would recommend that I come down for some therapy with them to treat my rare case of Cauda Equina Syndrome, brought on by a back injury a little more than a year ago. Jackson is truly fortunate to have someone with Wendy’s knowledge of spinal and nerve conditions. Jessica is outstanding with strength and conditioning. Together, they are a powerful team to have on your side!

I could tell that the way in which your therapy is conducted that not only myself but other patients actually enjoyed going to rehab. I was treated with respect and dignity by everyone on your staff. Additionally, Wendy and Jessica, as well as all of the techs who assisted me, made a concerted effort to make my rehab enjoyable and always seemed as if they were happy to see me. They were all very good at using positive reinforcement while at the same time being realistic. I could tell that these were qualities of all of the therapists at the clinic based on what I observed.

I am confident that I am in a better place today, both mentally and physically, than I would have been had I not found your practice. I would enthusiastically recommend Teton Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation to anyone in need of physical therapy!” – Brooke

“Physical Therapist (PTs) are movement experts who optimize quality of life through prescribed exercise, hands- on care, and patient education.  Physical therapists teach patients how to prevent or manage their condition so that the will achieve long-term health benefits.”  www.apta.org

Family members have had physical therapy. Friends currently are seeing physical therapist. Colleagues speak of going to their physical therapy appointments—In the past they’d mention “physical therapy”  in conversation, It’d go in one ear and out the other–a brushed off quick thought of “what-exactly-does-a-physical-therapist-do?)  Does-physical therapy-really-truly-help?

Welp.  My eyes have seen the light.  I am a believer wholeheartedly now.  Wow! What miracle workers!

I was recently admitted to the hospital for observation.  After a week of not getting better with an original ER diagnosis of vertigo, I contacted my doctor’s office explaining that my symptoms were getting worse—motor skills were not right—my mind would think one way but, verbally I would speak gibberish and utter things completely different from what I was wanting to say.  I would try to type on a computer but gibberish would be typed as well.  I was not able to walk straight, my body having tendency to veer to the left, banging into things.  Concerned that I was perhaps experiencing a stroke or a diabetic coma, I was sent to the ER again, and was consecutively admitted for observation.  I found out that being in a hospital bed is not a place for resting.  I had an amazing revolving door of healthcare teams visit me throughout my stay—in addition to my medical healthcare team, I was visited by nutrition, diabetes education, pharmacy, respiratory health and… physical therapy.

Having never been admitted in my 52 years of life, it was very scary not knowing what was going on! I just want to know why I cant walk straight.  Will I get better? What am I going to do?  Is there a Cure? What have I done? While I am immensely grateful for each and every health care team member from various departments that visited me at bedside, I am most appreciative, over joyed, awed by Physical Therapist, Lindsay Tolle and her team.  She came to do her assessment.  She did her questioning, made her notes, proceeded to have me do some exercises all the while explaining the process, ruling out, the evaluation.  I did not have vertigo.  I have Vestibular Hypofunction…Huh?  I said to myself.  She explained everything, she had me see what was going on.  I cannot express how much her knowledge, her detailed methods, her patience, her sweet demeanor, her kindness and her passion for what she does made me feel that day when I first met her.  She gave me hope.  She gave me inspiration.  She gave me positivity in a moment of such fear that my wellbeing would never be the same again.  All of a sudden the clouds lifted for me and, while I know it will take time to get back to 100%.  I have so much trust and faith in her professionalism and her and the teams’s knowledge that I will be there soon! Heck, two months after the enlightening diagnosis, and several PT appointments with her and Jessica, I am walking straighter.  I am back full time at work.  I can speak more clearly.  I am typing without looking at the keyboard and it is not gibberish! I am still unable to drive but, a couple more sessions and I will back to it!

Lindsay was a shining light. I am forever grateful to her and her expertise. I swear, I think she has wings.  I consider her my angel.  St. John’s Health and Teton Physical Therapy are so fortunate to have her.

I now know how much good a physical therapist does for the world!

Thank you!!!” – Rosa Montano
